Our goal is to provide a healthy cleaning option for both clients and staff while maintaining high cleaning standards and a positive work environment. Having experienced chemical sensitivities herself, Allison Sletcher researched and began using healthy cleaning options in her own home.
In 1995 Allison started cleaning residential homes on her own. Because the cleaning industry refused to address environmental options and was defensive about this concern, the time spent cleaning in clients homes was invaluable for establishing an effective training program for staff. Staff are trained in expectation on the job, speed and environmental products and techniques. Earth Concerns is a small company that grows each year with an emphasis on controlled growth. Our regular clients are our main focus. We work to provide additional and better services each year.

Earth Concerns Cleaning is committed to cleaning with health-conscious, environmentally-friendly products for the health of the client, the staff, the community, the economy and the world environment. Because cleaning is a skill, staff are trained in expectation, speed, product use and technique. Our goal is to provide a professional alternative for clients.
The standard maintenance clean consists of:

Q: Do you send in a team or one person?
A: Earth Concerns sends one person into your home. Teams of two or more compound set up and set down time that you end up paying for. As well, when evaluations of work are made, we know who to address. However, clients may request more than one staff for the clean and pay the cleaning rate per staff.
Q: Does the person change every clean?
A: The same person is scheduled for every clean in your home unless you request otherwise. Staff save time through familiarity with the home and are able to keep track of periodic cleaning needs over time.
Understanding products and how they work is important to the overall clean. Because every client's needs and preferences are different, clients provide the products on the job-site by purchasing through Earth Concerns Cleaning or through a comparable supplier.
During the client survey, we cover what choices of products are available to clients as well as stores that sell these products. Contrary to assumption, the cost of environmentally-friendly cleaning products are minimal and not more expensive than other cleaning products. The initial investment ranges from $14-$25 for ready-made products and even less for baking soda and vinegar options. Earth Concerns has five different start-up packages at wholesale rates.

Due to environmental concerns and Toronto smog issues, staff of Earth Concerns Cleaning use public transit and/or bicycles to access the job-site. Instead of a fleet of cars carrying vacuums gloriously around the city in a cloud of smog, Earth Concerns requests that client provide the vacuum, broom, mop and bucket at the job-site.
